Karnataka Nrityakala Parishath in association with Department of Youth Services and Sports presents Ankura, a festival featuring young dancers. The Chief Guest this evening will be Guru Sri Mohankumar Ullal, Director, Natya Niketan, Mangalore. Smt Durga C Avarti, Joint Director, Department of Kannada and Culture, will preside over the function. Today, the festival will have Bharatanatyam performances by Ashwini S, disciple of Guru Sri BK Shyamprakash (at 6.30 pm) and Sowmya Shantakumar, disciple of Guru Smt. Nirupama Rajendra (at 7.30 pm).

The play is about how men deal with women. This is narrated in an extremely creative fashion, using lights and shadows very effectively. The play is performed by Abhishek Saha, an actor from Mumbai and Pawan Kumar.
